THOSE REDHEADS FROM SEATTLE - Starred Rhonda Fleming, Gene Barry, Teresa Brewer Guy, and the 'BELL SISTERS' in his first acting/singing role. The film was a story about the gold rush in Alaska. Guy sang 'CHICKA BOOM' which he recorded commercially, and a duet with Teresa Brewer called 'I GUESS IT WAS YOU ALL THE TIME'. They didn't record this duet commercially as they were under contract to different record companies at the time. The soundtrack version was not issued on record, but Teresa Brewer recorded the song commercially as a solo. home6.rm
RED GARTERS - Starred Rosemary Clooney, Jack Carson, Gene Barry, Joanne Gilbert and Guy.This was a satirical western, using theatrical sets rather than natural locations. It did not go down well with the critics, but has since become something of a cult movie. Guy sang'A DIME AND A DOLLAR' and 'MEET A HAPPY GUY' both recorded commercially, plus a duet with Rosemary Clooney, 'MAN AND WOMAN' which was not recorded commercially, but the soundtrack version was issued on record. Guy can also be heard with the whole cast in two other numbers, 'LADYKILLER' AND 'VACQUERO'. He did not record these, nor were the soundtrack versions issued on record.

Orchestral number with Jerry Gray and Orchestra. 2. 'Day by Day' sung by 4 Freshmen. 3. 'Nearness of You' sung by Dolores Hawkins. 4. 'For You Alone' sung by Dolores Hawkins. 5. 'She Wears Red Feathers' sung by Guy. 6. 'Feet Up' sung by Guy. 7. Western 'send up' song by Guy. 8. 'Too Late' sung as finale with Guy, Dolores and the rest of cast. gun.rm
THE YOUNG GUNS - Starred Russ Tamblyn,Gloria Talbott, and Scott Marlowe. A western about a boy who has to make a choice between becoming a gunslinger or a law abiding citizen. Guy does not appear in the film but sings the title song, 'SONG OF THE YOUNG GUNS' over the credits. He did not record it commercially nor was the soundtrack version issued on record.
ALIAS JESSE JAMES - Starred Bob Hope,Rhonda Fleming and Wendell Corey. Bob Hope plays an incompetent insurance agent, protecting a client who turns out to be an outlaw. Guy does not appear in the film, but sings the title song over the credits, and also recorded it commercially.
THE WILD WESTERNERS - Starred James Philbrook, Nancy Kovak, Duane Eddy and Guy in an all-acting, no singing role, playing the part of a crooked deputy sheriff.

Guy says he never starred in the film, and when it was shown on Australian TV in August 1990, eagle-eyed GMAS members confirmed that there was no sign of Guy. It remains a mystery how his name came to be linked with the film.
